Liegh specializes in a new way of building that is gorgeous, more stable than traditional builds, more affordable to build with, and literally survives hurricanes when the rest of the neighborhood is demolished. Finding Leigh was a blessing. My project is underway as I write this review and my experience so far is outstanding. Leigh is a true architect in that he seems to be incorporating not only fabulous structures but qualtiy relationships into his overall design. It's the seemless blending of these aspects that have me in awe as he is leaving ZERO on the table. The man does it all! Its like one big artistic movement and I am honored and very grateful to be a part of it. It's a rare thing to meet salt of the earth type folks but I guess this is just my luck 🙂

Recommendation Letter for Leigh Overland Architect

Daily Bread Food Pantry couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Leigh Overland for the renovation of our food pantry which provides food free-of-charge to thousands of needy families in the Greater Danbury Area.

We presented Leigh with a unique problem – redesigning our small space to easily accommodate our growing base of clients. Our facility, designed in 1984 for a far simpler and much smaller operation, needed a complete rework. Our primary goals included lessening congestion and improving space flow to allow shoppers and volunteers to move easily through the pantry, increasing storage space with many more shelves and refrigeration units and generally enhancing the feel of our cramped, dark, aging facility. We were determined to make their shopping experience a positive one for our struggling clients. Leigh did all of this and more. Our space is light and bright, can easily accommodate many more clients and a great deal more food, has the desired simple yet high-quality, attractive finishes, and is respectful of our shoppers. We are thrilled with the result.

Leigh and his team are highly skilled, creative and able to easily and professionally handle the complexities of working with contractors and securing government approvals – particularly complex in our case given that our project was federally funded. They advocated for our organization every step of the way. It is an understatement to say that we were in good hands.

Just as importantly, it has been an absolute pleasure working with Leigh and his team. They were always remarkably gracious and kind, responsive, detail-oriented and communicative. His office formally documented all discussions and recommendations and immediately passed these along for our review. They also happily incorporated our ideas and changes and welcomed questions and comments throughout. Leigh was personally invested in our project and clearly cared a great deal about the final product and the impact on our thousands of clients in need.
